|Donna Snow has performed Off-Broadway and regionally, playing major roles at the following theaters: The Long Wharf, Arena Stage, Seattle Repertory Theater, Syracuse Stage, The Folger Theater, GeVa, Stage West, The Pittsburgh Public Theater, The American Conservatory Theater, Studio Arena, San Jose Repertory Theater, George Street Playhouse, Ford’s Theater, St. Louis Repertory Theater and The Walnut Street Theatre. For Temple Theaters, Donna Snow coaches and produces the annual Festival of One-Acts and has also directed the following productions: TRANSLATIONS, UNCLE VANYA, THE HOMECOMING, THE ELEPHANT MAN, THE ILLUSION, BLOODY POETRY, ON THE VERGE, GOD, WOMEN BEWARE WOMEN, SLEEPING BEAUTY, SCENES AND REVELATIONS, SEASON’S GREETINGS, CHRISTMAS ON MARS, and THE TIME OF YOUR LIFE.
Ms. Snow has taught voice, acting and text analysis for The American Conservatory Theater in San Francisco, Circle-in-the-Square in NYC, The Public Theater/New York Shakespeare Festival, the Institute for Renaissance and Baroque Studies at the University of Maryland, and The Voice Foundation’s Annual Symposium. In 2005 she was awarded the Distinguished Teaching Award by the School of Communications and Theater; and in 2006 she was awarded the Christian R. & Mary F. Lindback Foundation Award for Distinguished Teaching by Temple University.
Ms. Snow coaches and directs the senior undergraduates in their auditions for graduate school. Over the past eight years, forty of her students have been accepted and enrolled in major MFA and Professional Training programs in Acting, the majority receiving full-funding. Ms. Snow has an MFA in Acting from The American Conservatory Theater in San Francisco and a BA in English Literature with a minor in Theater from the University of Washington in Seattle. She is a Master of the Fitzmaurice Voice Technique and served as Chair of Temple’s Theater Department for three years (1997-2000) and as Head of the Undergraduate and Graduate Acting Programs (1995-1997/ 2000-2008) for eleven years.
Ms. Snow is on the evaluating team of the University/Resident Theatre Association and the National Association of Schools of Theater through which the Theater Department is accredited. |
